Pest Control
As part of carpet cleaning, pest control fits in with the removal of carpet beetle and fleas. It has to be accomplished by a licensed approved handler who has been trained to national standards, for which I have the certificate. An ongoing training is necessary to keep up to date with any changes in law and safety.
Along with that we offer a service to control flies in the summer, using both spraying and a bait system. This is very effective for household control of flies as well as stables and farm buildings.
How often does this need to be done?
This will often cover the whole summer, but if the fly season is prolonged this may need to be done again. There is no hard and fast rule as we don’t know what our summer will be like from year to year.
When should this be done?
This is best done when your ceilings are clean, as flies are attracted back to their own dirt on the ceilings and walls. (Ask me if you would like a quote to do this). To maximise the spraying benefits this is best done at the beginning of summer.
What should I do after the treatment?
I will provide a handout with the recommended health procedure for you and your family.
All pets need to be removed from the area while the spraying is done, including birds and fish. According to the recommended standard, it is advisable for the area not to be entered for a period of 4 hours after the spraying application.
